On November 7th night, “A marriage between Italian wine and vegan gelato”, the wine tasting event sponsored by the Embassy of Italy, was held in our Premarche Gelateria. It might sound like an unprecedented event but turned out to be very successful with positive feedbacks from our guests.

We received more than 20 registrations to join after just one day launching the facebook event. There were about 30 participants at the event, and most of them are vegans. Although this is our first time doing this, we couldn’t be more happy to receive such interest from our customers.

Worrying about a cold night, we prepared heaters in our store and reminded our guests to keep warm but luckily the weather were favorable enough. It was so cozy and comfortable insides.

Let’s have a look at what we had for this miracle night!

Are you interested in a combination between a wine that can warm your body and a cold treat in this cold weather?

42 flavours of gelato were ready to be served, half of which are pure vegan flavours. We also offer wine flavour gelato including prosecco, peach prosecco, and pomegranate soleil wine.

Despite the cold, some customers tried all 42 flavours, making the most of this rare opportunity in an all-you-can-eat gelato event.

At the event, our guests were not only able to try some of the best Italian wines, but also listen the story behind them. Mr. Kawamoto from Vinos Yamazaki introduced about Italian sparkling wine, Prosecco and Tuscany Bio wine.

This event was also the chance for us to introduce 3 types of vegan burger: vege meat, fish and tempei burger. Those were made by Ms. Kawasaki, the future manager and chef of Premarche Pizzeria and Alternative Junk ™, a new restaurant launching next year. A lot of customers were really impressed with our burgers, some even asked for a second or third one.

Gather in our cozy space to enjoy the vegan burgers, take a sip of wine and then taste your cup of gelato is all about our special event. Maybe for some of our guest gelato will never taste the same again without a glass of Italian wine.
